Gold and Brass Accents
Gold and brass are back in a big way and we couldn’t be happier; they’re definitely classics for a reason! From lighting to decor, you can incorporate them into just about any space for a luxe look. We’ve been embracing these warm metallics with our Main Line and Philadelphia interior design clients for both traditional and modern interiors.
Light fixtures in gold and brass suit any style! Formal wall sconces enhance the traditional feel of a Main Line living room, in addition to the elegant brass floor lamp behind one of the blue slipper chairs. (The elegance of the coffee table is the icing on the cake!)
At the opposite end of the design spectrum, this modern pendant from Arteriors features cool concentric circles reminiscent of a model of the solar system. We love it so much that we used it in a downtown Philadelphia interior design project this year!
Decorative accents are a stylish and easy way to refresh your room. Gold and brass mirrors, artwork, and accent furniture bring warmth and interest to any space. An intricate mirror against traditional wallpaper and wood adds a modern touch to our client’s music room. Add the luster of gold to an otherwise monochromatic palette with objects. Don’t you love the pop of this West Elm sculpture against the wood of the nightstand and pebbled leather tray?
Kitchen design has embraced the gold and brass trend as well. Accessories, serveware, and utensils are moving away from boring utilitarian silver tones. A gold Litze faucet from Brizo is both luxe and industrial. Gold and brass fixtures and hardware warmly complement the cool tones of marble and stainless steel. We say that mixing metals is a recipe for fun!
