2021 Holiday Gift Guide

It’s that time of year; with Hanukkah beginning on Sunday and Christmas just a few weeks away, we’re here with our 2021 holiday gift guide!  As always, we love shopping small and shopping local, and this is a treasure trove of ideas for ways to make this season merry and bright for everyone on your list.  This year, we’re focusing on home as a refuge and a retreat, which has become so important to so many of us over the past couple of years.

2021 Holiday Gift Guide – Give the gift of home

We’re already huge fans of local gem Zoët Bathlatier (we love giving their candles as gifts), so their candle gift sets are the perfect way to enjoy a collection of either the Black or White label scents.  The quartet comes complete with a charming glass bottle of matches.  Nothing is cozier on a winter evening than a softly glowing, beautifully scented candle!

For the person in your life who already has an impressive candle collection, a Golden Candle Care Kit from Frères Branchiaux is a luxurious addition to their routine.  From the wick trimmer to the bell snuffer, form meets function in this gleaming golden set.

Gorgeous entertaining at home can also be sustainable, and thanks to the Kitchen Garden Textiles x Remark Appetizer Set, you can enjoy dessert at home in style.  The plates are handblown with recycled glass and the napkins are 100% linen yardage remnants, which equals eco-conscious luxury.  Treat yourself and someone on your list to a set!

For the home mixologist, a gorgeous barware set adds panache to making mocktails and cocktails.  The Cosmo Bar Set from our fellow TSG member Little House Shop has a classic acacia wood base with a stainless steel jigger, bottle opener, stirring spoon, and cocktail strainer.  Best of all, the tools are dishwasher safe.  Talk about making the days merry and bright!

Whether the foodie on your list enjoys date nights in or hosting friends, Philadelphia institution DiBruno Brothers offers a selection of curated gift boxes featuring their Italian Market staples.  We’re partial to the Perfect Pairings box, which features everything needed for a fabulous charcuterie board!

We’re firm believers in a home that combines beauty with function, with our New Hope laundry room as a perfect example.  Adding special touches takes the everyday to another level, which is why the Walter Pine Studio Garment Care Bundle is a must for this list.  With a curated collection of wooden clothes pegs, garment refresher, wool and silk detergent, and a fragrant sprig of lavender, tending to beloved garments becomes a chic moment.

The concept of home is one that many of us can take for granted.  Through our ongoing collaboration with Pathways to Housing PA, we recognize that everyone deserves a place to call home.  We are so fortunate to be able to support their work with individuals and families who are transitioning from unstable housing or unhoused situations, and we truly believe that one of the best gifts you can give this holiday season (and any time of year!) is a donation to support their mission.

The most important lesson we’ve learned is to stop saving things for “special” occasions.  Let’s make every day special and live fully and presently in our homes!  With that in mind, shopping small, shopping local, and giving back are the most meaningful way to spread holiday cheer in our home communities.
