Lafayette Hill Reveal

One of our favorite things about working with past clients is the relationship that we’ve built with them, so we’re especially thrilled to share the latest Lafayette Hill reveal with you!  After redesigning their kitchen in a previous phase, we turned our attention to the rest of the first floor.  Check out these fabulous new spaces and discover the intention behind their redesigns!

Our newest Lafayette Hill reveal

After previously creating a gorgeous kitchen, we continued with a redesign of the dining room and living room to complete the first floor.   While the three spaces are separate, the doorways between allow for a smooth spatial and visual flow.  We wanted cohesion throughout the first floor while giving each room its own identity.

Cohesion between the kitchen and dining room

In the dining room, new custom built-ins along one wall offer much-needed storage.  Here, our clients keep special occasion glassware, china, and serving pieces for larger dinners and holiday gatherings. One clever addition is a hidden undercounter refrigerator that allows them to keep drinks right at hand.  We selected a soft blue here to tie into the palette of the adjoining kitchen.

Blending elegance and warmth in the dining room

Elevated details like patterned wallpaper and sleek acrylic hardware add sophistication, while the new dining chairs and table are inviting and comfortable.  The dining room combines style and livability, which is exactly what our clients wanted!

Built-in details

The family spends a lot of their time in the living room, along with their two adorable dogs. We wanted it to be low-maintenance and comfortable with polished touches. Two cozy sofas face each other across the hexagonal coffee table.  Pattern and texture lend depth to the design, with pops of blue, gold, and yellow.

Bright and welcoming living room

Versatile seating options for company were a must in this space, so we added a pair of stools that can be tucked back against the wall when not in use.  The result is a welcoming, light-filled space that invites you to grab a seat and stay awhile.

Stools for extra seating

Overall, the first floor reflects the happy, friendly, and welcoming personalities of this busy family.  We loved working with them to design such a beautiful and livable home!
