Gratitude and Design: A Year of Reflection, Growth, and Joy at Glenna Stone Interiors
As I sit back and reflect on the year, I find myself filled with immense gratitude—for our amazing clients, the incredible projects we’ve had the privilege to work on, and the partnerships we’ve built along the way. This year has been full of inspiration, collaboration, and growth, and as we approach the holiday season, I’m taking a moment to appreciate all that we’ve achieved together.
At Glenna Stone Interiors, we don’t just design spaces; we design environments where people can feel truly “at home.” That’s something I think about often, especially after witnessing the joy and appreciation our clients express when their homes are complete. Being in the front row to their gratitude is deeply satisfying—it’s more than just the smiles and giant hug we get on installation day. It’s a heartfelt acknowledgment of the work we’ve done and the life and memories they’ll continue to create in the spaces we’ve designed together.
Creating Spaces That Foster Gratitude
One of the questions I often ask myself—and my team—is whether it’s possible to design a space that reinforces ongoing gratitude. Can a home not only be a place of comfort and style but also a space that nurtures a sense of appreciation, joy and comfort long after the work is done? I think the answer is a resounding “yes.”
Through our thoughtful and intentional approach to design, we dig deeper to truly learn what will bring each client joy. We ask the right questions, listen closely to their needs, and take the time to understand what they cherish most in their lives. And it’s this willingness to dig beneath the surface that helps us design spaces that are not only functional but also deeply fulfilling, spaces that resonate with a sense of ongoing gratitude.
Designing for Life’s Most Important Values
A huge part of this process involves understanding what matters most to our clients. For all our clients, the foundation of their gratitude lies in the basics: good health, close family, and the ability to enjoy life’s blessings, whether that’s traveling the world or celebrating milestones with loved ones. We aim to capture these moments and weave them into the fabric of the space, allowing our clients to see their blessings in every corner of their homes.
One thing that I find so powerful is how these homes evolve alongside their owners. As families grow, as children come and go, as seasons change, a well-designed home doesn’t just meet their needs—it adapts. And it’s incredibly fulfilling to hear our clients express how their spaces continue to serve them through the years, offering them both comfort and support no matter where they are in their journey.
A Year of Change and Growth for Glenna Stone Interiors
This year has also been a time of transformation for Glenna Stone Interiors. We’ve undergone a rebranding, launched a new website, and revamped our blog format to better share the stories of the work we do. These changes reflect our continued growth and commitment to excellence, and I’m so grateful for all the hard work and dedication that has gone into each of these steps.
In addition to these internal changes, we’ve had the pleasure of working with an even broader network of talented professionals—architects, builders, tradespeople, and vendors who share our vision for thoughtful, quality-focused design. These partnerships are truly invaluable, and I’m excited about the opportunities they bring for expanding our design horizons.
Travel has also been a highlight this year, as I’ve had the privilege of exploring new corners of the world for design inspiration. From the rolling hills of Italy to Mexico’s Pacific Peninsula, every experience has broadened my creative perspective and enriched my approach to design.
The Year Behind and the Year Ahead
As we approach the holidays, I’m filled with awe and appreciation for all that we’ve accomplished this year and for the incredible people we’ve had the pleasure of working with. This has been a year of growth, not just for our clients, but for our team as well. I’m thankful for our team’s dedication, our clients’ trust, and for the opportunities we’ve had to make meaningful contributions to the lives of those we work with.
So as we head into this special season, I want to take a moment to thank each and every one of you—clients, partners, friends, and family—for the role you’ve played in making this year one of our most fulfilling yet.
Here’s to a holiday season filled with love, gratitude, and warmth. May we all continue to find joy in the spaces we call home and carry that gratitude with us into the year ahead.
With heartfelt thanks,
Glenna
