Father’s Day Gift Guide
As a follow up to our Mother’s Day gift guide, we wanted to show some love to the fathers out there as well. Juggling working from home, adapting to distance learning, and finding alternate ways to stay connected with friends and family have taken a toll on them too. Show some love and appreciation this Father’s Day!
Father’s Day Gift Guide
We continue to support small and local businesses at this time and encourage you to do the same. We encouraged you to consider a gift certificate to the salon or spa for mom to use once they reopen; dad is going to need a (professional) haircut too! A massage would probably go a long way.
For other forms of self-care, look to his hobbies and outlets. Does he wear his Philly hometown pride proudly? Check out Shibe Vintage Sports and their line of original and stadium series tees. Early morning jogger? A gift card to a favorite local running store like Philadelphia Runner makes a great treat (and they’re doing virtual fittings!).
Elevate his work game
When it comes to working from home, he’s probably spending a lot of time on Zoom, Teams, or WebEx meetings. Help him to cut out the background noise and focus on the task at hand with these sleek Bose SoundSport Free wireless earbuds. Choose from three colors – elegant black, sporty blue, or fun orange – to suit his personality, and he can use them for work and play.
Speaking of video calls, we cannot stress enough the importance of a thoughtfully set background. Give the gift of a piece of art for that bare wall behind his desk to elevate the space, or add classic bookends to a shelf with a few hardback books.
Time to unwind
If you’re looking for a gift that he can enjoy in his downtime, we’ve got that covered too! For the guy who enjoys a good puzzle and appreciates history, commemorate a significant day with the front page of the New York Times. You can choose any date, all the way back to 1851, and then let him put the pieces together.
Some dads prefer to hang outside, especially as the weather gets nicer. For a fun Father’s Day gift, get back to basics with lawn games for the family like washers or horseshoes. We like sets with their own carrying cases for easy storage.
What goes better with time outside than a good drink or two? Not much. Many breweries are offering pickup and delivery, like our neighbors at Chestnut Hill Brewing Company and local legends Tired Hands, Evil Genius, and Yards.
For fathers who prefer a cocktail, local distilleries have stepped up to the plate for online ordering, pickup, and delivery. A short list of some favorites:

We hope this has sparked some good ideas for you for the dads on your list. Cheers to them on Father’s Day and every day!
