Announcing…our new design showroom and studio!
We have some really exciting news to share with you: Glenna Stone Interior Design is moving into a new design showroom and studio! This is something we’ve been planning for a while, and the perfect space became available at just the right time. We’ll be moved in by mid-December, meaning that 2019 will bring a new GSID! We can’t wait to share it with you. In the meantime…
What does a design showroom look like in the beginning?
Well, for us, it’s the first floor of a gorgeous historical building right in the heart of Chestnut Hill. We love this beautiful neighborhood in northwest Philadelphia, with its shops and restaurants, and are so happy that we’re able to grow while remaining here!
With that being said, we’ve got quite a bit of work to do but have already made progress on turning this into our dream interior design studio. Ready for a behind-the-scenes look at our showroom progress?
You know that saying “measure twice, cut once”? We measure more than twice.
The beginning of our new studio was just like the beginning of every other commercial design project. This means that we treated it like all of our commercial design projects – with strict attention to detail, multiple site surveys, and drawings. However, we also get to be the client, so we’re tailoring the space to fit our brand and who we are as a team! Choosing the perfect lighting, furniture, fixtures, and accessories is even more fun when we’re doing it for ourselves.
Most importantly, we’re thrilled to enhance our client experience by offering a full-service design showroom. Our clients will be able to meet with us in-house, see our favorite lines and vendors for themselves, and peruse fabric and finish samples in our conference room. Having our full design library at hand will enable us to adjust designs seamlessly and show more of our niche lines, like custom bedding. It’s an exciting time for all of us and we’re so happy to share it with you.
