Design details: Leather

Leather is one of the most classic design finishes, and its richness and versatility make it a fabulous choice for any space.  Whether we’re talking about upholstery or accent details, adding leather raises the elegance factor in a room.  We chose a few favorites from past and current projects that will hopefully give you some inspo!

A leather chair is a traditional mainstay, for good reason.  However, we selected one with a creative twist for the William Heritage Winery tasting room in Haddonfield.  The woven seat and back lend a fresh, modern feeling that grabs attention in the large front window and has made this piece a favorite on Instagram as well!

We spoke about our favorite hardware in a recent blog post, and noted that something as simple as a drawer pull can add a unique vibe.  The looped pulls on this filing storage for a current home office project are proof of that!

While the striking gray leather chairs in our Society Hill living room (pictured at top) are stunning, we can’t overlook the bookcase at the opposite end of the space.  Its rich wood is accented by simple straps that anchor the back and add an extra touch of sophistication.

At our New Hope farmhouse, the drapery hangs from leather-wrapped curtain rings in the family room.  Not only is this an unexpected dash of style, but it also makes drawing the curtains whisper-quiet.  (We can’t wait to share more of this project!)
