We’re thrilled to once again partner with Pathways to Housing PA on their annual fundraiser, formerly known as the Chair Affair. This year, the event has a new name, so let’s talk about our Furnished for Good preview!
What is Furnished for Good?
Great question. Here, Nicole talks about our involvement with the fundraiser, the mission behind both Pathways and the Philadelphia Furniture Bank, and why it means so much to us to take part.
So now that you have some background, let’s learn more about our design for this year’s event! We went to the Furniture Bank and spied a chair with a beautifully caned back – we really love caning! – and saw nothing but possibilities. Sure, our little chair needed some TLC and GSID magic, but we knew we could make it shine again.
One of the things that makes this year’s chair so special is that the fabric selected for the new upholstery was designed by our very own Design Director, Vivian!
