High Point Market Spring 2023

High Point Market Spring 2023 was so much fun!  We love seeking out new showrooms, connecting with our vendors in person, and checking out the latest trends.  Market helps us to build new relationships, strengthen existing ones, and find the perfect selections for our clients.  On the trend front, there was one that we saw everywhere, and we’re so excited to share it with you!

Going green

From furnishings to rugs to accessories, shades of green dominated Market.  Softer colors like sage and moss mixed with richer forest and emerald greens.  Texture across the applications, whether it was visual, tactile, or both, added depth and interest.  The palette spanned a range of styles from traditional through modern, and these are just a few of our faves!

A mossy velvet stool at Vanguard epitomizes understated luxury and would look so fab in a modern lounge (with points for versatility).

The architectural style of this Century Furniture chair is enhanced by the shades of green in the crushed velvet fabric.  It makes a big statement!

At Wesley Hall, we couldn’t choose between the elegance of this upholstered headboard with nailhead detail or the inviting comfort of a corduroy throw pillow, so we had to include both.

Finally, a pair of buttery soft, olive green leather armchairs were a personal favorite.  Just imagine sinking in with a drink to unwind after a long week!

Bonus trend

Green was very much the star of the show, but a surprising shade that popped up time and again was pink.  A few years ago, blush pink was incredibly popular.  This time, pops of pink across the spectrum appeared – often alongside green – in dusty mauve, vibrant fuchsia, and warm coral.  How many pinks can you spy here at Taylor King?

Which of these picks is your favorite?  Would you pair pink and green in your home?  Let us know in the comments!
