Gladwyne

Published in Traditional Home magazine, this Gladwyne home was designed for a couple who moved from a Center City condo with their growing family. With much more space, they wanted a home that balanced family-friendly living with statement design elements throughout. Color, subtle patterns, and texture influence the mood of each room with contemporary elements throughout. The dining room, powder rooms, and entryway feature statement moments that were created through architectural detailing, lighting, and the use of decorative wallpaper and bold color. The great room, kitchen, and breakfast room have neutral palettes, creating more casual retreat spaces. The home office/library has a bold and vibrant palette to foster happiness and creativity. The second-floor outdoor balcony allows for various seating options and layers of pattern for a quiet place to read, work, or simply take a moment to enjoy the views. The primary suite features a custom calacatta marble bathroom with an adjoining coffee bar clad in a bold, jewel-toned metallic wallcovering. The children’s bedrooms are designed to grow with them and nurture their imaginations. Balancing livability and elevated design details throughout, the interior design of this home resulted in a beautiful, contemporary, and thoughtfully designed family residence.
