Outdoor rugs for summer and beyond

Summer is in full swing, and with that comes more time outdoors enjoying the long days.  Whether you spend your time reading on your patio or enjoying dinner on the deck, outdoor rugs add another level of style and comfort to your experience.  Maybe you’ve been meaning to get around to buying one or your old rug isn’t going to make it through the rest of the season; we’ve got you covered with some great options.  Here are our top five that we love for summer!

1. Coastal Casual

Coastal, casual style is perfect for laid back weekends on the porch.  The Seaview rug lives up to its name in a soft, textured wash of blue and white.  This rug gives a hint of color with texture, allowing for you to bring in pattern with other outdoor accents.

2. Tile inspired

On the other hand, if you find yourself drawn to bold, bright patterns, I love the medallion motif in this Spanish-inspired rug!  It reminds me of the fun, bold tile patterns seen in LiLi Cement.

3. Pop of Color

Nothing says summer like a fresh pop of green, and the mod white diamond pattern adds visual interest without being overly busy.  Seems like the perfect rug to pair with your summer martini – don’t you think?

4. Large pattern

Do you prefer a pattern with a larger scale?  This blue and white option delivers sophistication and conjures thoughts of lake breezes.  I love all of the accents and fabric options this rug would allow!

5. Subtle stripe

If subtlety is more your style, a warm, sandy tone brings out natural hues in furniture and accents.  Best of all, the these performance fibers will stand up to anything!

Why I love outdoor rugs:

  • They anchor and define outdoor seating and dining areas while making them feel like an extension of your interior style.
  • They’re soft and inviting; they have the added bonus of sparing you and your guests from burning your feet if your patio or deck gets hot from the sun.
  • Fun patterns, bright colors, and interesting textures add contrast and express your style outdoors.
  • Outdoor rugs are made of durable, fade resistant, and mildew resistant fibers.  They’re also easy to clean so you don’t have to worry if you drop your s’mores or spill a drink!
