Falling In Love: Relationships at the Heart of Interior Design

As today is Valentine’s Day, it feels fitting to reflect on the role relationships play in the success of every project we undertake at Glenna Stone Interiors.

When people ask what it means to truly love a project, my answer always begins with the client. Someone willing to go the extra mile, to delve into the details that make a space uniquely their own. The best projects are infused with our clients’ life stories, passions, and vision—elements that elevate a design from simply beautiful to deeply personal. And, it’s the opportunity to add innovative techniques and breathtaking elements that cast a spell over homeowners and our team alike.

Collaborating with our professional partners happens at all levels, including onsite during each phase of a project.

It also takes a team of gifted, passionate partners. We are incredibly fortunate to collaborate with architects, builders, landscape designers, and other professionals who share our commitment to excellence. Their expertise and dedication make the impossible possible, and together, we create stunning results that simply couldn’t be achieved alone. Collaboration is a cornerstone of our work, and it’s a joy to watch each partner bring their unique strengths to the table.

Thoughtfully executed elements are a pleasure for us to present to clients and all their family members.

Of course, there’s an intangible element to loving a project as well. It’s the energy that comes from being able to tap into your most creative self—not just for the sake of creativity but in a way that serves the client and the project equally. It’s about solving challenges, exploring possibilities, and giving back a lasting space that is soulful and heart-touching.

Beyond the projects though, my heart is firmly rooted in my team. We are fortunate to have an extraordinary group of professionals whose vast and varied experiences bring fresh perspectives to everything we do. I love watching them embrace unexpected ideas, knowing their contributions elevate every project. It’s a privilege to lead a team where collaboration is second nature and creativity thrives.

And, what keeps me in love with this business?  It’s the human impact of our work. The transformations we achieve aren’t just physical; they’re deeply personal. Our clients trust us with their stories and their dreams. With that, we create spaces that change lives. The ripple effect of our work often spans generations, creating legacies that endure long after a project is complete.

Working with so many exceptional clients, partners and team members is what I cherish.

Ultimately, the thread that ties all of this together is love—for our clients, collaborators, our craft, and our team. It’s what fuels our creativity and drives our commitment to excellence. As we celebrate Valentine’s Day, I’m reminded that relationships are at the heart of what we do, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the connections that make our work so meaningful.

Wishing you all the best,

Glenna
