Philadelphia Style Dynamic Women

It was such an honor to be included in the 2022 Philadelphia Style “Dynamic Women” issue!  As you may know, the GSID team is all women, and we strive to make it an environment where women lead, grow, and excel both professionally and personally.  Being a part of this larger group of accomplished, driven women means so much to me.  I am so excited to share this feature with you!

One fascinating thing about this feature is that photography took place at the Guild House Hotel.  As an interior designer, I’m always intrigued by incredible architecture and design here in Philadelphia.  The hotel is housed in a National Historic Landmark building, with a seamless and stylish blend of traditional and modern details.  When I learned more about the history of the hotel, it felt like such a perfect fit not only for the feature but also for what my team and I do every day!  From the Guild House Hotel website:

“Our story begins back in 1882, when a group of bold, forward-thinking women formed a club called the New Century Guild to support the growing number of working women in the city. (At the time, women working outside the home was still a deeply controversial prospect.) From the outset, the women of the Guild were an impressive group that included abolitionists, suffragists, activists, artists, writers and more.”

This really speaks to me and to the culture that I work every day to foster at GSID.  By working together, we give the best of ourselves to not only our clients but each other as teammates.  I truly believe that dynamic women are those who support and lift each other up.  In fact, this mindset is part of our GSID culture statement!

“We believe in our potential for growth.  When we witness each other’s ongoing evolution, we are inspired to step into our own.  In this way, growth serves as our motivator, always propelling us forward towards our excellence– both as a group and as individuals.”

Fun fact: our clients Beth Ann White and Beverly Weaver, owners of 1859 Wellness Spa & Salon, are also featured as Philadelphia Style Dynamic Women.  We loved working with them on their serene, elegant spa and I’m thrilled to join them on these pages!
