Sub-Zero Wolf showroom tour

A few weeks ago, we had the opportunity to attend a private tour of the Philadelphia Sub-Zero Wolf showroom.   Besides enjoying a wonderful lunch prepared for us by in-house Chef Robert, we learned more about how to fully tailor our clients’ kitchen needs.  The tour and demonstrations offered the chance to explore the different options and ask as many questions as we liked!

Tailored kitchens to fit anyone

Designing a kitchen involves a lot of moving parts.  While we often refer to it as the “heart of the home,” it takes skill and knowledge to create a beautiful space that functions perfectly for its users.  Our clients depend on us to guide them through the selection process, which can be overwhelming.  At GSID, we pride ourselves on our ability to create and deliver that dream kitchen as painlessly as possible.

Thanks to trusted vendor partners like the SZW team, we’re fully prepared to listen our clients’ wants and needs and suggest the ideal appliances.  We saw a lot of cool features, like an integrated side by side griddle and grill that cover just about any cooking needs.  Bonus – no standing out in the rain or snow for a perfectly done steak!  Convection ovens to suit the professionally trained pastry chef?  No problem.  (Yes, we customized a Wolf range for one such client.)  We learned not only what the different ranges and cooktops can do, but also how they do it.

With so many options, we can tailor a kitchen to fit our clients’ aesthetic and functional home cooking needs.  Everything is customizable, right down the knobs and handles.

Knob and handle options

No matter how you like to cook – gas range, induction cooktop, electric fryer module, warming drawers, 35,000 BTU wok burner – the possibilities are endless.

Cooktop options

Speaking of endless, the M Series convection steam oven does just about everything.  The gourmet mode will lead you through a program to cook anything perfectly, from particular veggies and potatoes to any cut of beef or a whole chicken.  It even features a spa mode for warm towels and heated cherrystone eye masks!  (Yes, we’ve all decided that we want one.)

Sub-Zero offers a wide range of fully customizable refrigeration options.  If you look at several of our kitchens, you may notice that you can’t immediately pick out the refrigerator.  With the Designer series, we’re able to blend a client’s refrigerator and freezer columns and drawers with their cabinetry.  This allows us to create a completely seamless design, and we saw some unique examples in the showroom as well!

For clients who want high quality wine storage, Sub-Zero features undercounter units for indoors and out, along with towers that can be integrated with a kitchen or bar design.  This particular model syncs with your home security system and will alert you if the power goes out or the internal temperature changes!

We learned so much on our tour and are excited to share it with our clients, including the in person tutorials and incredible support that SZW can offer them.  We’ll leave you with a little bit of envy; here’s the absolutely delicious lunch that Chef Robert cooked for us.  We’re so grateful to them for having us and can’t wait to visit again!
