2021 Year in Review

This has been another huge year for Glenna Stone Interior Design, and it only feels right to finish it with a roundup of all we’ve accomplished. We’re growing as a team (and in our space), we’re thriving with lots of fabulous projects and wonderful clients, and we’re proud of the features and achievements we’ve earned.  Let’s look back at our 2021 year in review as we prepare for exciting things in the new year!

2021 Year in Review

A year of changes

While 2020 was a year of unexpected adjustments, 2021 was filled with growth and great experiences while navigating a new landscape.  The two biggest changes have been our team (we’ve added six new members since January!) and our space.  A bigger team = a need for more room, and our second floor expansion is coming together with additional meeting space, quiet workstations, a bigger materials library, and more.  In October, we had our first full team offsite (pictured above) to spend a whole day together talking about the future of GSID and discussing our personal goals within the company.  More importantly, we shared a fabulous day laughing, getting to connect on a deeper level – so welcome after months of a hybrid schedule – and supporting each other.  We can’t wait to do it again with our newest team member, who just started with us earlier this week!

Hot off the presses

We were thrilled to be featured multiple times both in print and online (have you visited our press page?) from Main Line Today to Martha Stewart.  Of course, the most exciting feature this year was seeing our work in Inspired Interiors, a gorgeous coffee table book comprised of work by talented designers from all over.

Work, work, work

Speaking of our designs, we worked on more than 30 projects in 2021!  As our team has grown, so too have our projects and we love meeting the challenges of these large scale designs with creativity, teamwork, and our unique GSID style.

Back to Market (and travel!)

We not only got back to High Point Market, but took some of our newer team members to Fall Market as well for them to experience it for the first time!  Glenna spoke on a panel and the group toured showroom after showroom, and even got to spend some quality time  with our fellow Philadelphia interior designer Rasheeda Gray, principal of Gray Space Interior Design.

Later in the fall, Glenna and Andrea got back to BDNY and it was just as fabulous as always.  We’re so grateful to be able to travel and connect with our vendors and fellow designers again!
