Our new interior design showroom reveal!

We’re thrilled to officially unveil our new interior design showroom!  It has been the result of true teamwork, and now we can show it to all of you.  It was important to us to design a workspace true to our brand and our values.  As a result, we approached it as we would any client project: thoughtfully, with attention to detail, and tailored to the team who comes together in the space to create and collaborate.

When we planned our new interior design showroom, we had a twofold purpose.  Firstly, we wanted a beautiful, welcoming space that greeted clients and colleagues alike when they walk in our door.  Secondly, we chose furnishings and accessories from our preferred vendors so that visitors can see and feel the beautiful quality that we offer in our designs.  We left no detail to chance, from our performance fabric-upholstered seating to lighting selections to the choice of occasional tables.

One of our favorite showroom features is a selection of window treatments by our outstanding colleague Claudia from Urban Loft Window Treatments.  Claudia and Glenna created a beautiful display showing different styles and trim option with cornices and romans.  We’re excited to show these to clients during our meetings to help them fully envision the possibilities of custom window treatments in their space!

Conference room

Speaking of meetings, our conference room offers the perfect setting for meeting with clients to discuss their projects.  We can spread out drawings, materials, finishes, and fabrics while reviewing concepts, drawings, and furnishings on our TV.  It allows for a truly collaborative design process between the GSID team and our clients and trusted vendors.  We also use the space frequently for internal project meetings, staff roundtables, and vendor appointments.  Having that in person face time is invaluable when it comes to efficiency, productivity, and creativity!

 

 

Design studio

We offered a peek at our design studio in a recent blog post, and we’re excited to show you more!  The GSID design process is very team-oriented; therefore, we knew that our studio workspace needed to allow for that.  Trading ideas, asking questions, and giving each other feedback is important and helps us work smoothly and efficiently.  The open concept studio is the perfect setting for that.  We also have swatches, finishes, and catalogs at our fingertips.  Our extensive design library allows us to bring different elements together when creating beautiful interiors for client inspired projects.

In addition, our space has amazing natural light that gives everything a bright, fresh, and happy feel.  We firmly believe in beautiful spaces enhancing our clients’ lives, and we wanted that for ourselves as well.  With that in mind, we intentionally designed a warm, welcoming, and functional workspace.  This includes a fully stocked kitchenette by Village Handcrafted Cabinetry along with potted plants and fresh flowers.  We love coming in to work together every day in such an inspiring and collaborative environment!
