Our second floor progress!
Our second floor progress has come such a long way since we first announced the expansion of our space late last year! We’ve put so much thought and care into every detail, and are excited to share some of the biggest and most fabulous updates with you. It’s been such a big year for GSID and having even more room to share as a team and with clients has been a dream come true. We’re not quite finished, so stay tuned for even more!
Second floor progress: what’s new?
The biggest change is in our largest space: the open concept workspace at the center of the second floor. Here, we added two gorgeous custom tables for coworking. For bigger gatherings, like in-person team meetings or hosted events, we can move them together to create one large seating area. Versatility is just as important in our office as it is in our clients’ homes!
Another key element in this space is storage for our extensive materials library. We love pulling together room palettes for our client meetings so that they can see and touch the different colors, textures, and finishes. Expanding our library meant having even more resources to offer! This also created a need for tidy organization, which we achieved through a combination of hanging storage flanking a custom built-in under the space’s television, with more room in a furniture piece under the windows. (Don’t you love the woven shades that our friend Urban Loft Window Treatments designed for us?)
While this is the largest space on the second floor, it’s not the only one we’ve worked so hard on. Thanks to our partnership with Minted, we selected a cool piece of statement artwork for the entry that adds a wow factor for guests!
Additionally, it was important to us that we use furnishings, fixtures, and accessories from our key vendor partners so that clients can experience the look and feel of the quality for themselves. We wanted to mix in a feeling of livability in our workspace, since we believe so strongly that design influences how we experience our surroundings. We spend a lot of time at work, and want our team to do so in comfort and style! This is why you’ll find cozy benches and a styled étagère on the second floor for an elevated touch.
Finally, we added an additional conference room upstairs for a few reasons. It allows us to have multiple meetings at one time, both internally and with clients; in addition, it offers privacy for smaller meetings and breakout sessions during team-building days.
We hope you’ve enjoyed this teaser of the second floor progress and can’t wait to share even more with you!
