Design details: Silver

One of the hottest trends in fashion right now is silver, but its timelessness is undeniable.  You can find silver design details in many of our projects, from furniture and accents to lighting and hardware.  While silver tones are definitely having a moment, we love them precisely because they bring a classic style to any space, and depending on how we use them, we can make a statement or add a pop.

Three fab ways we use silver design details

Lighting

One of the easiest ways to elevate lighting is with sconces. In both our Wyndmoor primary bath and New Hope laundry room, silver-toned sconces enhance the designs.

The delicate silver leaves of the chandelier in our Chestnut Hill primary bedroom make an elegant statement.  We love when clients embrace selections that are a bit outside of the box because the effect is always worth it!

Furniture

We also mix silver details into furniture, whether it’s nailhead trim on a fun custom stool or elegant drawer pulls on a custom dresser.  Adding in silver for a bit of polish creates a beautifully finished design!

Accents and artwork

Of course, we can’t forget about the unique touches that make a space truly different from all others.  We layer accents, accessories, and artwork into our designs to personalize them and no two are exactly alike. In our West Chester dining room, a sunburst motif mirror with a patina finish echoes both the silvery tones of the light fixtures and the circular pattern of the paperweave wallpaper.  It’s subtle but chic.

On the other side of the home, custom silver frames add a sophisticated touch to the client’s treasured architectural photos in his home office.  The coolness of the silver lends a perfect balance to the warmth of the photos for aesthetic harmony.  It’s a small detail that makes a big difference.
