Cozy at home

With the first official day of winter less than two weeks away, it’s time to get cozy at home and live your best hygge life!  Here are a few of our favorite ways to embrace soft, snug comfort throughout the cold, dark winter months.

Candlelight

Candles add a soft glow that is so welcome during long, chilly nights.  Try placing a few large pillars in hurricanes to give you that warm light.  Whether you prefer scented or unscented candles, they’re lovely in living rooms, kitchens, bathrooms, and bedrooms.  We absolutely love the Echo Lake Hurricane from Simon Pearce with its delicate strands of spun glass.

Weighted throws

Nothing is quite as comfy as wrapping yourself in a knitted throw blanket on a cold day.  Combine that with the therapeutic effects of a weighted blanket, and you can cocoon to your heart’s content.  The Velvet Napper by Bearaby is a favorite across the internet, and is crafted of eco-velvet created from recycled marine plastic.

Curated teas

If you’re going to be snuggled up under that luxe throw, you need the perfect cup of tea.  We are huge fans of local favorite Mrs. Robinson’s Tea Shop, which offers an outstanding assortment of teas from all over the world.  Whether you prefer a strong black cup of breakfast tea or a soothing herbal blend before bed, you can find it here and order online (from under your throw).

What are your favorite ways to get cozy at home over the next few months?  Lighting a fire for movie night?  Curling up in your favorite chair with a great book?  We’d love to hear them!
