Custom kitchen solutions

When spring arrives, many of us turn to thoughts of reorganizing and reinventing our homes.  For many of our clients, custom kitchen solutions are high on their wishlists, and we’ve implemented them in several stunning projects!  While different clients’ needs vary, they all have one thing in common: they’re thrilled that they invested in the details that make their kitchens so much more functional.

Must have custom kitchen solutions

Each client comes to us with different needs, which makes each project unique.  Kitchens are true workhorses in our homes, but they’re also where we gather to share meals, stories, laughs, and memories.  Maximizing each moment counts!

For some people, baking is a passion.  Our New Hope client is a classically trained pastry chef who is also raising young children, so we designed vertical drawers for cookie sheets, cutting boards, and other narrow tools within reach of the oven.  Another drawer holds small tools like measuring spoons, cookie dough scoops, spatulas, and even a citrus reamer.

Our Chestnut Hill clients, whose kitchen you see in the header photo, love to entertain.  As we noted in our post about their project, their reputation for hosting holiday dinners and family gatherings is strong!  We incorporated a lot of custom detail into their design, but one thing that was a must-have was the potato and onion storage drawers that they had seen on one of our previous projects.  (When you cook Thanksgiving dinner for dozens of people, you need serious root vegetable storage.)  Besides being practical, the aesthetic is a small touch that adds to the elevated vibe of the whole space.

We love the look of an uncluttered countertop, especially around your stovetop.  However, we recognize that you need your cooking utensils at hand, which is why we created a pullout drawer next to the range in our Malvern kitchen.  Talk about having everything at your fingertips!  With a family of five, the meals prepared here are no small task. P. S. – stay tuned for the reveal of the full space next week.

For our West Chester client who works from home full time, a tea and coffee bar in the renovated kitchen was a must.  We designed a compartmentalized drawer for teas, coffee, sweeteners, and mugs.  Above this, a pull-out shelf allows for a convenient spot to fix that afternoon coffee in a snap before he gets back to work.

Which of these would you love to have in your kitchen?  Is there a kitchen solution on your wishlist that we didn’t feature here?
